Falmouth & Penryn Community Plan

The Falmouth and Penryn Community Plan was launched back in 2009 by Kevin Lavery, who was Chief Executive of Cornwall Council at the time. It took place on Monday 7th December 2009 at the National Maritime Museum.

The Plan was prepared solely by the communities of the two towns, supported but not influenced by the local authorities and other public bodies. The Plan was the first to be prepared since the change to a unitary authority in Cornwall, into which it fits by covering both towns in one of the Community Network Area. The launch provided an opportunity to hear at first-hand how and why the Plan came about, its validity checked and its intended purpose. See below the attachment which is still referred to frequently.
