Women in Words: Stories & Writing in Cornwall

The 2026 edition of BENOW Festival, hosted at Falmouth Art Gallery, invites everyone to celebrate and explore the rich culture of women. This year’s theme is Women In Words.

Passionate about writing or storytelling? Join us on the 20th and 21st of March for a vibrant two-day festival filled with workshops, performances, and events led by women writers and artists.

The festival is open to all attendees—welcoming people of every gender and background, offering a space for everyone to connect with, learn from, and contribute to the stories and voices of the women of Cornwall.

Through a range of workshops, activities, and events, we will explore the art of the story in all its forms—through spoken word, creative writing, untold and unheard stories, film, and more. Join us for two days packed full of lore and literature:

  • Film Screening Of Cornish Language Short Film: Gocki Lorden
