Community Gallery – Your Voice

Your Voice is the culmination of a collaborative community project involving Falmouth Art Gallery, Falmouth Library, Kimberley Park and SourceFM, working alongside pupils from Falmouth Primary Academy to explore the places that shape their lives.

Over the course of the project, the children took part in creative activities that encouraged them to observe, listen, ask questions and reflect on what Falmouth’s familiar spaces mean to them, their families and the wider community.

Through storytelling, sound recording and artmaking, the pupils created a collection of artworks that capture their own experiences, memories and ideas. The project aimed to build confidence in young people’s voices while encouraging them to see their town from fresh perspectives.

The resulting work, on display in Falmouth Art Gallery’s Community Gallery throughout August, offers visitors the chance to experience Falmouth through the eyes of its youngest residents. Together, the artworks form a vibrant record of place, belonging and imagination, celebrating the importance of listening to children’s perspectives and recognising their role in shaping the future of the town.
