Community Gallery – Art for Wellbeing
Making Creative Identity Through Mixed Media
Art for Wellbeing runs from the gallery on Monday afternoons, with creative sessions delivered by Eve Bourrat. Each three-week block explores a different theme and material. The work currently on display in the Community Gallery showcases pieces made during the previous course.
Making Creative Identity Through Mixed Media explored identity through collage, paint, experimentation, layering and working with images in an open, supportive setting. Using old photographs and printed imagery, participants were encouraged to create visual stories and atmospheres guided by imagination and personal interpretation, rather than personal experience. The emphasis was on process, curiosity and making, rather than finished outcomes.
Open to all and suitable for all abilities, Art for Wellbeing supports wellbeing through creative exploration. Please book via our website, or call the gallery if you need assistance with booking.
