Falmouth Town Council, working in partnership with Falmouth School, is setting up a Youth Council for young people aged 11 to 17 who live in Falmouth.

The Youth Council is open to all young people in Falmouth, whatever school or education setting you attend.


What you’ll do

As a Youth Councillor, you will:

  • meet once a month
  • share your ideas and speak up for young people
  • work as a team to plan a project
  • take part in events, activities and trips

Key details:

  • 16 places available
  • Youth Council will run from April 2026 to April 2027
  • Council Chamber, Municipal Building, The Moor
  • 5pm to 7pm
  • Drinks and snacks provided

First meeting: 28 April 2026

You can apply if you:

  • are aged 11 to 17

  • Meetings take place in a safe and organised environment
  • Everyone is treated with respect and fairness

Applications must be completed with a parent or guardian, who will be kept informed about activities.

We collect details such as your name, age, contact information, and your responses.

Your data will:

  • be kept secure and confidential
  • only be used for this project
  • not be shared outside the council without permission

If your application is not successful, your information will be deleted after the selection process is complete.

If you are selected as a Youth Councillor, we will keep your information for the duration of the programme so we can manage your participation.

You, or your parent or guardian, can ask to see your information or request that it is deleted at any time.
