Falmouth’s Annual Acts of Remembrance: Laying of the First Poppy
The Town Mayor, Councillor Alan Rowe, invites everyone to take part in Falmouth’s annual acts of Remembrance, starting with:
Saturday 26 October: Laying of the First Poppy
10:45 AM: meet at Kimberley Park
11:00 AM: playing of the Last Post

Sunday 10 November 2024: Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service at Kimberley Park
09:45 AM: Civic Party assembles at Atherton Suite, The Old Post Office, The Moor
10.25 AM: Assemble on the Moor Piazza under Parade Marshal’s directions
10.35 AM: Depart the Moor for the parade to Kimberley Park
11.00 AM: Service at the War Memorial, including a two minute silence and wreath laying
11.30 AM: Parade departs Kimberley Park for the return to The Moor for a march past and salute by the Town Mayor
11.35 AM: Parade disperses
Monday 11 November 2024: Two-Minute Silence
Meet at the St Nazaire Memorial on the Prince of Wales Pier at 10:50 AM for the two-minute silence at 11:00 AM
Please note: If the Remembrance Sunday event is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, a decision will be made by midday on Friday, 8 November, and will be publicised on the Town Council website and social media.
