The biennial Cornwall International Male Choral Festival is the largest event of its kind held across various venues in Cornwall, bringing together dozens of male voice choirs from the UK and around the world to perform, compete, and collaborate. Founded in 2003, the festival features a wide programme of gala concerts, competitions, workshops, and educational activities for both singers and local schools. The festival aims to celebrate and strengthen the tradition of male choral singing while promoting musical excellence, international friendship, and the development of choral skills among performers of all ages.

The male voice choral tradition is a rich part of Cornwall’s life and a strong force down here, helping to bring people and communities together and strengthening our common heritage. So, it is marvellous to have this Festival to showcase the best in male singing, not only from Cornwall but from all around the world. This year we once again welcome almost 60 choirs who will be singing in 50 events at 40 venues over 5 days across Cornwall.

Just Men Singing (JMS), Hampshire and Surrey Hill’s Men’s Choir, Synergy Acapella, Nankersy Male Choir perform on the Princess Pavilion bandstand between 1:30 – 4:30pm on Sunday 3rd May.

There is no doubt that we are in for a superb feast of music. Many thanks to all the extraordinarily hard-working group of volunteers who give so much time, energy and goodwill to make this truly international Festival the triumph it always is.
