FECCLES Drama presents their amateur production of Robin Hood: The Legend Rewritten by Carl Grose.

The story of Robin Hood has been re-told countless times, but this version feels truly original and, even though the origins of this story are debated, authentic and believable.” – TheUpComing

With comedy, fantasy and pure insanity, Robin Hood: The Legend Rewritten is an action-packed play which imagines a completely new version of the tale we know and love. In this version, Robin Hood is relegated to the sidelines as the protagonist, Woodnut, a headstrong and resilient young girl defends her village, her forest and her mother’s memory from the Sheriff’s greediness, as he plans to sell the forest to The Barons and raise the taxes on the villagers.

In this version, there is not just one lone brave hero. Instead, there are many, and they would be nothing without each other.

This performance includes: strong language, violence, physical assault, allusions to hanging, drug use, and flickering lights that may be distressing to audience members with epilepsy.

This amateur production of “Robin Hood (Grose)” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd.
