Falmouth is set to transform into a magical winter wonderland once again as the Festive Weekend returns on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th December.

Organised by the Falmouth Town Team, a partnership between Falmouth Town Council and the Falmouth Business Improvement District (BID), the Festive Weekend promises two fun-filled days of festive cheer for all ages, celebrating the very best of the season and encouraging everyone to shop local this Christmas.

With an artificial ice rink, festive land train, giant snow globe, live carol singers, Santa’s Grotto, and Christmas characters spreading cheer through the streets, the town will come alive with seasonal magic. Visitors can also enjoy snowy streets throughout the weekend as they browse Falmouth’s independent shops for those special Christmas gifts.

The family-friendly attractions will run from 11am to 5pm on both days for just £2 per person. All monies raised during the event will go towards Falmouth’s Christmas activities in 2026, helping to sustain future festive celebrations for the town.

Why not start the celebrations early with Falmouth After 5 on Friday 5th December? Local businesses will be offering exclusive deals, special menus, and events as part of the First Friday initiative, which runs monthly until March 2026.

Also new for this year is a festive-themed drone display, organised in partnership with Councillor Alan Jewell, Mayor of Falmouth. Head to Church Street car park at 5.30pm on Friday 5th December for an aerial display featuring 50 drones, the first of its kind in Falmouth! In the event of bad weather, the display will be postponed until 5.30pm on Saturday 6th December.

Keren Cooksey, Falmouth BID Manager, commented:

“Falmouth’s Festive Weekend is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together, celebrate the season, and support local businesses.

Visitors can look forward to an incredible variety of family-friendly attractions, all organised by the Town Team and our dedicated Christmas working group. This event truly captures the magic of Falmouth at Christmas. We’d like to wish all our businesses, residents, and visitors a fantastic festive season, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you on the 6th and 7th of December.”

Enjoy free parking in all Cornwall Council owned car parks on Saturday 6th December to support Small Business Saturday.
