Following the resignation of Councillor Kerry Holbrook, a casual vacancy has arisen for a Town Councillor representing Penwerris Ward on Falmouth Town Council.
Cornwall Council has issued an official Notice of Vacancy for this seat (please see below).
If you are a local government elector for Penwerris Ward and would like a by-election to be held to fill the vacancy, a request must be made in writing to the Proper Officer at Cornwall Council no later than Thursday 18 June 2026.
If at least ten electors from Penwerris Ward submit valid requests by this date, a by-election will be held no later than Thursday 20 August 2026.
If fewer than ten requests are received, the vacancy may be filled by co-option by Falmouth Town Council.
