Councillor Alan Jewell elected 168th Mayor of Falmouth

Congratulations to Councillor Alan Jewell on his election as Town Mayor of Falmouth for 2025–2026, and to Councillor Tom Pearce who was elected Deputy Mayor at the Annual Falmouth Town Council Meeting and Mayor Making ceremony held at the Princess Pavilion on Monday 19 May 2025.

Councillor Jewell has chosen Pendennis Leisure as the Mayor’s charity for the civic year 2025–2026. The Mayor’s Chaplain for the year will be The Reverend Geoff Davis.

Following the formal meeting and Mayor Making ceremony, the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and fellow Councillors, gathered for official photographs in front of the bandstand at Princess Pavilion, accompanied by family members and invited guests.

They were then joined by their guests for refreshments in the Garden Room, rounding off a celebratory evening marking the beginning of the new Civic year.
