Annual Council Meeting & Mayor Making, Princess Pavilion, Monday 19 May, 7pm
The appointment of councillors to committees and the election of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor.
The Annual Council Meeting is the fifth full council meeting of the municipal year (May–May). It includes the election of the Town Mayor for the coming year and the appointment of councillors to committees.
The meeting is followed by the official ‘Mayor Making’ ceremony, where the new Mayor and Deputy Mayor are formally appointed and receive their chains of office.
Both meetings are taking place at the Princess Pavilion on Monday 19 May from 7pm. Members of the public are welcome to attend but we would ask that you notify us in advance so we can be sure that we can accommodate everyone. Alternatively, a live broadcast will be available on our Facebook page from 7pm.
