Anticipation is building as 33 community groups from across Falmouth get ready to unveil their handmade decorations for this year’s Christmas Tree Festival at Princess Pavilion and Gyllyngdune Gardens.

APCL A&P Falmouth are proudly supporting the festival once again, generously funding all the trees and lights. This year’s theme, “Swim and Sparkle,” shines a spotlight on the community-led appeal for a new wellbeing hub and 25-metre swimming pool at Pendennis Leisure Centre—an initiative aiming to secure vital facilities for residents of all ages.

The festival opens on Sunday 30th November at 5.00pm, when A&P apprentices will switch on the lights alongside the Mayor of Falmouth. The evening will feature festive music and performances from Falmouth School and St Stythians Band, and seasonal refreshments, including mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies—will be available from the Pavilion bar.

A special feature of this year’s decorations is that each of the 33 trees will include a special QR code ornament, enabling visitors to scan the code and donate directly to the Pendennis Leisure Centre appeal.

Returning once more is the much-loved ‘Tree of Wishes’, inviting visitors to leave messages for cherished loved ones or hopes for the future. Donations made here will support Miracle Theatre and their Small Miracles Initiative, which is a new venture helping young people in Falmouth and Penryn to partake in arts activities such as performing, writing, directing, technical theatre design and helping to run arts events, and is particularly aimed at those who have little or no access to creative opportunities.

Mike Spicer, Managing Director of APCL A&P Falmouth, said: “APCL A&P Falmouth is pleased to be sponsoring the Christmas Tree Festival once again this year.

Each year the event provides a great opportunity for our apprentices to support their local community by installing the trees, practicing the skills they have learned during their apprenticeship.

It is also an honour that they have once again been chosen by the town to switch on the lights. We wish everyone an enjoyable evening from all at APCL A&P Falmouth.

Nicola Burgess, Community Engagement Officer for Falmouth Town Council, added:

“A&P’s ongoing support ensures this event remains free for everyone involved—from the community groups decorating the trees to the families who come to enjoy them. We’re thrilled to welcome even more groups this year, and the ‘Swim and Sparkle’ theme feels especially meaningful as we rally behind Pendennis Leisure Centre’s appeal.”

All 33 trees will be decorated by local organisations, each offering a unique interpretation of the Swim and Sparkle theme.

The trees will be displayed throughout the foyer and under the veranda in the Gardens from Sunday 30thNovember 2025 until Friday 2nd January 2026
