Work Routes Branch Out In Falmouth

After helping 500 local people start working, the Work Routes Falmouth team is delighted to confirm that they are launching several new Outreach locations that will even more enable members of the public to access their service. A working partnership with Falmouth Town Council and the council’s Children and Family Services has been developed to ensure more jobseekers get the support they need to start working again. An expert Employment Adviser will be based at • Falmouth Town Council offices on Falmouth Moor from 2pm to 5pm every Tuesday • The Lighthouse Centre, on the Beacon (joined to Flying Start Nurseries) in the Old Hill area on Mondays between 12:30pm and 3:30pm • The Park Children’s Centre on Park Terrace in Falmouth on Fridays from 12:30 and 3:30pm. Booking is recommended, by giving the team a ring on 01326 33 66 57 or by visiting workroutes.co.uk/cornwall Additional appointments are available, when booked in advance, at Truro Food Bank and Penryn Food Bank, in partnership with The Trussell Trust. The friendly Employment Adviser will be on hand to free support to people looking for work. They’ll review their CV, help them access skills training, direct people to suitable health and wellbeing support and show them exclusive job vacancies they can apply for. Financial support is also available for things such as travel, interview clothing and work equipment. Reed in Partnership is currently delivering the ESF funded Work Routes service in Cornwall. Their support is available for people who have been unemployed for a period of time and want to overcome the challenges jobseekers face securing work. The Falmouth Work Routes team comprises a Health and Well-Being Adviser, an Employment Skills Trainer, a Recruitment Manger and three Employment Advisers as well as a Business Manager – all of whom are eagerly supporting local people to find suitable employment every day. The team will also be based in The Poly on Falmouth high street on Wednesday 11th April, and in Temperance Hall in Penryn on Thursday 12th April for their Open Day events from 10am to 4pm and are inviting members of the public to come and find out more.
