Public Conveniences to Close Temporarily from 27th March 2020

At a meeting of the Town Council’s Virus action group held on the 18th March 2020, it was decided that closing public conveniences was necessary to protect the public, the decision was not taken lightly as the Council recognise the importance of these facilities which is the reason that the Town took over the responsibility for them nearly 7 years ago thus preventing permanent closure. Whilst the science regarding infection is formative the Council feels this will further restrict opportunities for transmission of the infection. Falmouth Town Council’s cleaning team will make every effort to keep the facilities as clean as practically possible up until the closing date and the washing times on all of the hand wash units have been increased. However we advise the public to be prepared for their closure and to only use the facilities when absolutely necessary.
