Post of Communications Officer - Salary SCP 19-22 (£25,481 - £27,041) Pro rata of 22 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity for a community-focussed and experienced communications officer to join our team and help us engage with our vibrant community. The Council is recognised as an exemplar nationally and is ambitious in its projects.

The Council needs to co-ordinate how it promotes itself and its activities and how it communicates with its residents and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will take the lead on improving how we engage, and how we promote our brand, services and amenities; focusing on developing our digital profile. As well as ensuring internal organisational communications.

Initially this is for 22 hours per week but could increase to a full-time position of 37 hours per week for the right candidate.

Projects will include assisting the development of our brand-new website; reinvigorating our social media channels; promoting the Council’s commercial activities to generate more income; promoting our venues; creating a community engagement strategy; whilst maintaining our branding guidelines.

The Council is an accredited employer offering generous pension and other enhancements.
