MAYOR'S CHRISTMAS CARD COMPETITION

For the second year in a row Falmouth Town Mayors Christmas Cards have been designed by two Falmouth Primary School pupils.

This year the Town Mayor Councillor Steve Eva invited pupils from King Charles C of E Primary School to participate in his Christmas Card Competition and the Mayor stated ‘Once again this years standard was so high that I had to choose two designs, one by Violet and one by Charlie. I would like to thank the Headteacher Lee Moscato for allowing me to attend the school as I was delighted to meet with Violet and Charlie to thank them for their card designs which I will be proud to send out to civic dignitaries, local businesses, staff, friends and family.’

Both pupils were presented with copies of their Christmas Card and they were each presented with a certificate declaring they were the winners of the competition 2020. The Town Mayor further presented a Town Council Plaque and cheque for £100 to the School.

Headteacher Lee Moscato said 'We are delighted that our pupils will represent our town through the Mayor's card: it's a lovely end to what has been a year like no other. We're proud of our relationship with the Town Council and local community and this reflects how important we see this link. The cheque is a very kind gesture and we will use this towards the development of a spiritual, calm and reflective space outside for our pupils to enjoy. The plaque has been put in our hall so that everyone can see.'

This year’s competition was open to the whole of King Charles C of E Primary School and the Mayor and Mayoress Mrs Vicky Eva formed the judging panel.
