The Council is seeking to recruit the above role to join the Town Team.
The Town Team is proactive in delivering improvements within the community as well as being quickly reactive in resolving defects. The Team strives for excellence in maintaining the community’s assets including public buildings, play areas, sports facilities, cemeteries, public gardens etc.
The successful candidate must be multi-skilled with a proven background and training in property maintenance and familiar with daily use of associated tools and equipment. The ability to undertake a range of duties including facilities repair and maintenance including plumbing, painting, electrical and small works. The role includes set up and take down for event function and meeting rooms and art gallery and library. Other tasks will include compliance testing, assisting event marshalling and hard and soft landscaping works. Flexibility with a willingness to work evenings and weekends is essential. Above all the successful applicant will be passionate about promoting Falmouth and ensuring it is a clean and safe community environment to live and work in.
