HR Manager Position


Salary SCP 26-28 (£30,984 - £32,798) Pro-rata of 22.5 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced human resources manager to join our team on a part-time flexible working basis to help us deliver professional HR and staff wellbeing. The Council has taken on significant levels of service delivery and needs to ensure organisationally that it continues to be fit for purpose. The Council is recognised as an exemplar nationally and is ambitious in its projects on behalf of its vibrant community.

The successful candidate will assist the senior management team and take the lead on implementing HR structure, process and procedures across the Council. Advising and reporting to elected members on the Council’s Staffing Committee will be a key responsibility as will improving how we engage with our workforce, their well-being and development.

We need a qualified and experienced HR practitioner, ideally with a knowledge of local councils, who is also an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills.
