Falmouth Twinning Association

Falmouth Twinning Association held their 2012 AGM in the council chamber with the president Town Mayor Councillor Geoffrey Evans C.C in attendance.  The popular chairman Maureen Davies was unanimously re-elected with the other office bearers willing to take on their duties for another year including Henry our mascot.

After the meeting light refreshments were enjoyed by those attending.  The committee then set about finalising an entertaining and informative programme for our German visitors from Rotenburg who will arrive for a six day visit in May. They will stay in the homes of members of the Falmouth Twinning Association.

Various social events are held during the year and the Association would welcome new members.  Maureen Davies said “that the real pleasure of Twinning is providing the opportunity to spend time and really get to know people from other countries and of course make friends in Falmouth.  We are also twinned with Douarnenez in France where we will visit in September but do not let an inability to speak French or German put you off, as language skills are not necessary, as we can all make ourselves understood one way or another.”  Anyone interested should contact Mrs Maureen Davies on 01326 312508.
