Falmouth Twinning Association

New chairman and mascot for Falmouth Twinning.

Former Mayor of Falmouth, Cllr. Maureen Davies, has been elected chairman of Falmouth Twinning Association, taking over from Nigel Rimmer who becomes her deputy.

Maureen, pictured with her spaniel Henry - the new mascot of Falmouth Twinning - says that he has been practicing to sing/bark along to French tunes during committee meetings. “We are on the look out for other sociable souls to join us particularly to meet or host French visitors this autumn when there is a full programme of events and trips throughout the region.

One of Maureen’s first official tasks at Falmouth Twinning Association is to oversee the May visit to German twin, Landkreis Rotenburg. Next comes finalising the September trip to Falmouth of around 40 visitors from Douarnenez, Brittany.

Falmouth Twinning Association exists to promote making friends around Falmouth and across the Channel. For more information about joining Falmouth Twinning Association or offering hospitality for French visitors in September, please telephone Maureen Davies on 01326 312508.
