FALMOUTH PUBLIC TOILETS

The Town Council is looking to re-open public toilets before the town centre returns to trading activity on 15th June.

The toilets at Prince of Wales Pier, Grove Place and Kimberley Park will open on 8th June and be available seven days a week between 9am and 5pm. The Town Council has provided an enhanced cleansing regime and users are reminded of the social distancing and hand cleaning requirements.

If the trial opening sees safe and responsible use then it is hoped that the toilets at Castle Beach, Gyllyngvase Beach, Swanpool and Maenporth will re-open from 22nd June. Initially beach toilets will be open from 10.30am to approximately 8pm.

Town Mayor, Steve Eva says ‘this is very much a trial, if we can deliver the service safely, and people use the facilities responsibly, then it is important for our community to have the toilet facilities available to them. Whilst the majority of our residents have been very responsible observing the Covid19 restrictions unfortunately a minority have not, we are reliant on safe and responsible use to keep these facilities open’
