The President of the student union at the University College Falmouth has been awarded a town plaque in recognition of his work within the local community.
Chris Tagg, who has now finished his course at the university and will be leaving his post as President, received the award at a meeting of Falmouth town council on 23rd July 2007.
Mayor Mike Varney, presented the town plaque to Chris, and said: "Chris has involved himself in the Falmouth PACT group and several other community initiatives and has worked extremely hard to help integrate students into the community and involve them in local schemes.
"I felt that the work Chris has done with young people is worthy of recognition, especially as there is often a lot of bad press about youngsters these days. I present this plaque to him to show that his efforts have been noticed by the council and the town."
