Admiral Nelson Site Public Session

The new plans to redevelop the former Admiral Nelson pub in Falmouth are to be discussed by town councillors on Monday evening (18th May) ahead of the planning committee meeting, though, a public session will be held to enable residents to air their views.

It is expected that members of the Admiral Nelson Action Group will be attending the meeting, as will representatives of developers, the Acorn Property Group.

The now derelict site in Bar Road has long been the centre of controversy as several different companies have attempted to redevelop it.

Acorn’s last set of plans were thrown out by Carrick District Council in March and the company is hoping its new proposals will win favour with the new Cornwall Council.

Falmouth Town Council’s public session will start at 6pm in the council chamber on Monday 18th May, with the planning committee convening at 6.30pm.
