Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival returns to town for another weekend of raucous singing, street traders, and outdoor drinking.

From Friday through Sunday, the Princess Pavilion gardens will come alive with the Sea Shanty Festival Craft Fair and the sound of traditional sea shanties and maritime folk music performed on the bandstand by an incredible line-up of shanty groups from across the UK and beyond, with live performances taking place daily from lunchtime to early evening each day.

Indoor and outdoor bars will be serving beers, ciders, coffee, and everything you’d expect. We’ll also be serving ice creams and hot food with classic Pavilion hotdogs available from 12pm on Saturday and Sunday, with meat, vegetarian and vegan options available. Please note that like most of the town we’ll be serving in plastic cups for the duration of the festival. We will be charging £1 for reusable plastic cups, you are welcome to bring you own to avoid this fee.

The Princess Pavilion is the perfect Shanty weekend venue for sitting on the grass with a cool pint while your parents browse the craft fair and your kids watch the puppet show. You’ll always be able to see the bands, get to a bar, and have a little bit of your own personal space. If you’re tired of the bustle of town but still want to enjoy the festival, or if you want to eat your street food in a beautiful green space, the Princess Pavilion is for you.
