Falmouth Oyster Festival

Falmouth Oyster Festival celebrates the start of the oyster-dredging season, which runs from October to March.  Devoted to the mighty mollusc, the festival highlights the traditional methods of harvesting, using only sail and oar, and champions the native Fal oyster.

Falmouth Oyster Festival is one of Cornwall’s biggest and most-loved specialist food events. Join us to celebrate the native Fal Oyster and diversity of Cornish seafood with four days of cookery demonstrations, feasting and festivities.

If you enjoy fresh Cornish seafood and an eclectic mix of music and first-class entertainment, then it’s not one to miss! Join us for live cookery demonstrations from Cornwall’s top chefs and food experts, indulge in the tastes of native oysters and local produce and treat yourself to unique goods from our arts and craft market.
