Update on Falmouth Cemeteries following Storm Goretti

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of Falmouth Town Council’s Cemetery Officer, Grounds Team, and the amazing group of volunteers who have given their time and energy to assist us, the clean-up across Falmouth Cemeteries is now nearing completion.

Falmouth Old Cemetery

The Old Cemetery is now partially open to residents and visitors. For everyone’s safety, please keep well away from any cordoned-off areas, including the remains of fallen trees, and follow all on-site signage while remaining works are completed.

Falmouth Lawn Cemetery

At the Lawn Cemetery, the majority of the clearance work is now complete. We are currently waiting for large tree stumps to be taken away and for a wood chipper to become available (these are in high demand following Storm Goretti). Once chipping takes place, the material will be used to repair any damaged paths.
