The Falmouth and Penryn Community Plan Launch by Kevin Lavery, Chief Executive of Cornwall Council took place on Monday 7th December 2009 at the National Maritime Museum.
The Plan has been prepared solely by the communities of the two towns, supported but not influenced by the local authorities and other public bodies. The Plan is the first to be prepared since the change to a unitary authority in Cornwall, into which it fits by covering both towns in one of the new Community Network Areas. The launch provided an opportunity to hear at first-hand how and why the Plan came about, its validity checked and its intended purpose.
